Hey Reader
August is a write-off, right?
That’s the assumption.
“Everyone’s away”
“No one’s buying”
“Let’s just wait until September”
You’ve probably said it. Or at least thought it.
And that belief — even if it’s just background noise — is powerful.
Because if you believe it, you can't help but act upon it.
That’s how a myth or an erroneous becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.
You ease off. You post less. You don’t sell. You tell yourself “this is just being realistic.”
And that’s fine — as long as you’ve chosen it.
Because really, there are two paths you can take in August:
The two paths
Option 1 – Play it safe but smart
Give in to the belief and focus on making it work for you.
Use August for relationship-building, consistency, and quiet momentum while giving yourself space to breathe.
Option 2 - Tell the belief to f__k off and go bold
Choose to go bold while others go silent and back off— and use the lull to steal attention and accelerate ahead of the pack.
Now, because the vast majority of people will go for option 1, that's what I'm covering in the rest of this email.
If, however, you want to turn up the heat in August, I show you how to follow Option 2 in this blog post:

Ok, so Option 1 for most people is the default.
But you can't just retreat and do nothing, which is exactly why you should slow down on purpose and with a semblance of strategy.
Because when you choose it, you can actually make it work.
So what does a slowed-down summer look like?
Well, if you've read the book and paid attention to the cult commandments and the CultBrand process, the message is clear:
Focus on broadcasting and indoctrination.
These are the two most important aspects of your cult-building strategy and so, if you are going to pull back on anything, make sure these elements remain.
The 5-step August slow-down cult building plan
Here's a rough plan of what you should be focusing on as the bare minimum.
The important thing is we're thinking long term and strategic.
And doing these will keep you growing and moving forward.
1 - Continue connecting with your people. Show up for the followers who are still here. You can even use this to your advantage. A smaller audience in August gives you more chance to deepen relationships.
2 - Maintain consistency above all else. Keep your broadcast consistent, even if you have to sacrifice depth or breath in what you want to say. The important thing is showing up consistently. That is what builds trust. You don’t have to go loud, but don’t go silent.
3 - Simplify your message. Choose two or three topics to focus all your activity on and stick to those topics. You may create less content, but it will deliver more clarity and potentially be more memorable for your followers.
4 - Fix what’s broken. If you’re not in launch mode, use the time to sort out what isn't working. Have you got your Indoctrination Path set up? Do you need to plan your Broadcasts better? Use the time to get things in order to make your life easier when you ramp up again.
5 - Start conversations. If you're not selling, then focus on starting genuine conversations with new people who could be potential partners. With no obligation or agenda, open up introductions. Start now to reap the benefits later.
While none of these are particularly dramatic, the long term benefit of adhering to these fundamentals are huge.
But you will stay top of mind. You will build trust. And you will avoid the stop-start energy that kills momentum going into the final part of the. year.
That’s Option 1: Play it smart, maintain your visibility with those who matter and start planting seeds for the future.
However, If you want to kick that to the curb and check out Option 2, you can read the blog here:

Either path works — but don't allow drifting to become your strategy.
Make a choice and stick with it.
Laters!
